Verne, I have not heard of digital badging until your group project, so thank you for giving us a great review of digital badging. You mentioned there is a lack of research on digital badging, so it must be a fairly new technological concept. The fact that badges can be earned based on some type of achievement, I believe would motivate most students since digital badges provide a visual symbol of accomplishment. Of the five questions you addressed in your Vlog, questions 3, 4, and 5 (see below) address perceptions of students regarding the badges.
Since digital badging may motivate to accomplish, perhaps it is a new tool for teachers to explore.

3. How do students perceive effect of digital badges when applying for college application and acceptance? 4. How do students perceive badging to affect advancing and getting a job and the public perception/acceptance of their accomplishments? 5. How do students perceive and accept/represent digital badges?
